Next week's economic docket is all about jobs, punctuated by Friday's nonfarm payrolls report. Among the stocks reporting earnings are blue chip Walt Disney Co (NYSE:DIS); electric vehicle maker Tesla Motors Inc (NASDAQ:TSLA); e-tailers Alibaba Group Holding Ltd (NYSE:BABA) and Groupon Inc (NASDAQ:GRPN); telecom giants Comcast Corporation (NASDAQ:CMCSA), DIRECTV (NASDAQ:DTV), Sprint Corp (NYSE:S), CBS Corporation (NYSE:CBS), and AOL, Inc. (NYSE:AOL); biotech firms ISIS Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (NASDAQ:ISIS), Ariad Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (NASDAQ:ARIA), and Jazz Pharmaceuticals plc (NASDAQ:JAZZ); and energy producers Chesapeake Energy Corporation (NYSE:CHK), Goodrich Petroleum Corporation (NYSE:GDP), and Marathon Oil Corporation (NYSE:MRO)

Monday 5/4
The week starts off with factory orders. Showing their earnings power will be Andarko Petroleum (APC), Array Biopharma (ARRY), Avis Budget (CAR), Cablevision Systems (CVC), Comcast (CMCSA), Denny's (DENN), Diamond Offshore Drilling (DO), EOG Resources (EOG), EXACT Sciences (EXAS), Integrated Device Technology (IDTI), InvenSense (INVN), Loews (L), MGM Resorts (MGM), Murphy USA (MUSA), Sysco (SYY), Tyson Foods (TSN), XPO Logistics (XPO), and Westlake Chemical (WLK).

International trade figures and the Institute for Supply Management's (ISM) non-manufacturing index will come out on Tuesday. Walt Disney (DIS), Agrium (AGU), Allstate (ALL), Archer-Daniels-Midland (ADM), Bloomin' Brands (BLMN), Devon Energy (DVN), DIRECTV (DTV), Discovery Communications (DISCA), Electronic Arts (EA), Emerson Electric (EMR), Estee Lauder (EL), Fossil (FOSL), Frontier Communications (FTR), Herbalife (HLF), Hyatt Hotels (H), ISIS Pharmaceuticals (ISIS), Kellogg (K), Groupon (GRPN), Mylan (MYL), Myriad Genetics (MYGN), News Corp (NWSA), Office Depot (ODP), RetailMeNot (SALE), Skullcandy (SKUL), SolarCity (SCTY), Sprint (S), VIVUS (VVUS), Weight Watchers International (WTW), and Zulily (ZU) will take the earnings podium.

Wednesday 5/6
On Wednesday, we'll see ADP's employment report, productivity and labor costs, and weekly crude inventories. Thursday's economic docket contains only weekly jobless claims.
