Nordson will maintain its quarterly dividend at $0.39
Nordson Corporation (NASDAQ:NDSN) is an American multinational corporation that engineers, manufactures, and markets products used for dispensing adhesives, coatings, sealants, biomaterials, and other materials. NDSN has direct operations and sales-support offices in nearly 40 countries.
Earlier this month Nordson declared a quarterly cash dividend of $0.39 per share, payable on June 8 to shareholders of record as of the close of business on May 25. This dividend announcement maintains NDSN's forward dividend at $1.56 and gives Nordson stock a dividend yield of 0.78%.
Nordson is scheduled to release its fiscal second-quarter earnings after the close on Monday, May 24. For the second quarter of 2020, Nordson beat analyst estimates by a margin of $0.32 and reported an earnings per share (EPS) of $1.58. For the third quarter, the company's EPS decreased to $1.42, but NDSN still beat expectations by a margin of $0.08. For the fourth quarter, Nordson posted an increase in earnings, rising to $1.59 per share and beating estimates by a margin of $0.06. For the first quarter of fiscal 2021, NDSN reported an EPS of $1.32 and beat expectations by a margin of $0.26.
NDSN has increased about 14% year-over-year, and hit a fresh record high of $223.37 on April 29. Long-term support from the 120-day moving average has aided NDSN's advance, with the shares pulling back to the trendline again this afternoon.
