Earnings season kicks into high gear next week, with several high-profile names set to release fourth-quarter results. While Netflix, Inc. (NASDAQ:NFLX) will represent its fellow FAANG stocks, several blue-chip companies will take turns in the limelight -- including embattled General Electric Company (NYSE:GE). Meanwhile, the economic calendar starts heating up mid-week, with all eyes on Friday's durable goods and gross domestic product (GDP) data.

Below is a brief list of some key market events scheduled for the upcoming week. All earnings dates listed below are tentative and subject to change. Please check with each company's respective website for official reporting dates.

There are no economic reports scheduled for Monday, Jan. 22. Netflix (NFLX), Halliburton (HAL), Steel Dynamics (STLD), and TD Ameritrade (AMTD) will report earnings.
