Plenty of Dow members will report earnings next week, too

A whole slew of blue-chip names will announce their quarterly reports, with 3M (MMM), Boeing (BA), and Pfizer (PFE) posting earlier in the week, and Caterpillar (CAT) and Chevron (CVX) entering the earnings confessional later on. Big Tech will be in focus too, with earnings from Facebook (FB) and Amazon (AMZN) on the docket.
Meanwhile, investors will comb over quarterly reports from two major names in terms of a potential coronavirus vaccine -- AstraZeneca (AZN) and Gilead (GILD) -- on Thursday. On the economic front, weekly jobless claims will, as usual, be in the spotlight, along with the second-quarter gross domestic product (GDP) reading. Plus, the Fed's latest interest rate decision will come out on Wednesday.
