Is the Stock Market Open on Memorial Day? [UPDATED 2022]

Stock Market Holidays Memorial Day

No. The major U.S. stock markets are closed on Memorial Day.

Both the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) and Nasdaq are closed in observance of Memorial Day every year. As always, if any other markets are open on this day, please be cautious while trading on a U.S. market holiday due to lower trading volume and, thereby, lower liquidity.  Click here for a list of all market holidays.
