Normal operating hours for the U.S. stock market (including NYSE and NASDAQ markets) are 9:30 a.m. EST through 4:00 p.m. EST. The stock market is typically open on weekdays, Monday through Friday, every week of the year with the exception of
stock market holidays
.
The stock market closes for major US holidays and you can find more specific information on all upcoming stock market holidays by

Most market holidays are cause for a full-day closure, but there are a few days each year that may trigger "early closures", where the market opens at 9:30 a.m. EST and closes at 1:00 p.m. EST.
The stock market is closed on Saturdays and Sundays, and there are no regular trading hours on the weekends. If you see news that "stock futures" are up or down over the weekend, this is because most futures contracts begin trading at 6 p.m. EST on Sundays.
